We made our own numbers with one decimal place. We wrote our own numbers between 3 and 4. We put them in ascending order and showed everyone our numbers, and compared them. We got points for numbers with values like 3/10 or 6/10.

In a Galaxy far, far away........
In the Gateway Base we have been blown away by the efforts of the Learners with their Take Away Homework. It's out-of-this-world!
We've seen: Light Sabers, Space food, X-Wings fighters, drawings from Star Wars, models of the Solar System and letters to astronaught, Tim Peaks. We even had a Galaxy of cake!
P.E for the Gateway Base
Wednesday afternoons, the Learners from the Gateway Base are lucky enough to have their P.E session with the Royal Manor P.E teachers.
Miss Heppell's registration group have been braving the icy winds with Miss Byrne to learn the skills involved with playing hockey. 
Mr Thorne's registration group have been fortunate enough to visit the dance studio with Mrs Randell. Different aspects of performing and movement have been learnt and displayed.
Mr Burton has taken Miss Mill's registration group to learn the skill of Archery. The sports hall is transformed into a shooting range for the afternoon and the children have to listen and adhere to a strict safety policy. Then they can enjoy themselves aiming for the bullseye!! Some have already shown a natural talent for the sport.
In a few weeks the Learners will rotate groups so everyone has a go at each sport.
The Scary Guy Chant
S4 have been learning The Scary Guy Chant.
They are also using Kung Fu Punctuation to learn about punctuation and capital letters.
