Science in West Base 2

This term, we will be learning all about Earth and space in science. This week, we asked the children what they would like to know about Earth and space. The children asked some fantastic questions!! Here are just a few examples...

How fast does the Earth spin?
How big are the sun and moon?
Are there aliens?
What are the names of all the planets and how close are they to the sun?
What is dark matter made of and how is it formed?
Is there next generation technology on other planets?
Why is there so little gravity in space?
Why is the sun so hot?
Why are planets hot and cold?
Why does the Earth change from to day and night?
Why do black holes exist?
How long does it take for the sun and moon to switch places?
How long does it take to get to the moon?
Why does the moon go up when the sun goes down?
Why do stars explode and become black holes?
What is the sun and moon made of?
Why is the sun bigger than the moon and planet Earth?

I am very excited to teach this science topic! After reading the children's questions, Mrs. Watson, Mr. Proffitt, Mrs. Atkinson and I are expecting to learn a lot alongside the children!
