Today, whilst some of our students went down to the DT workshops, the rest of us faced a challenge to build a table out of newspaper. It didn't just have to stand, but also had to be strong enough to hold a dictionary.
We looked at some successful structures and thought carefully about the shapes that were strong. Next we set to work designing a perfect table. Then came the tricky park, the making.
It was much easier drawing our plans but following them to make a structure was harder!
We had a few tables strong enough to hold a big dictionary, but we definitely know how to modify our designs next week to make them even better!
