Science in West Base 2

In science we are learning about the human life cycle. The children were asked, "What do you want to know about the human life cycle?". We have a bunch of inquisitive children in West Base 2!! Here are some of the many brilliant questions they came up with:

Why do people grow? How do we grow?
How do our bones grow longer?
Why do people grow to different heights?
How long can we live for?
      How old can we get?
Why do our tastes change with age?
Why does our hair change colour when we get older?
Why do some humans lose their hair when they get older?
Why does human skin get wrinkly with age?

I'm really looking forward to sharing some fascinating research with the children! In lessons, they can expect to learn about the biomedical gerontologist, Aubrey de Grey. A biomedical gerontologist is a scientist who studies the ageing process of living things.
